Abstract
What I'd like to achieve on this site is to create a space where I can present my views
and knowledge, and exchange views with you about music, acoustics, sounds. And also,
I'd like to realize Soundscape design at this site.
Soundscape design is to design the sound environment by planning all sounds at the
place, not only using the BGM, but also using bell, sound effect, preventing noise, and
so on. It is usually considered in our dairy life, and I planned to design the sound
environment at this website. The basic concept to design this site is looking at sound
from three angles, as I mentioned, music, acoustics, sounds.
The name of this site is derived from the first letters of each of these words. The
reason why I focus on these three sides is that I think we can look at "one sound" from
three sides, "M","A","S". Even though there are so many web sites and books about these
sides of sound, almost of them focus on just one side, or look at them from one angle.
The primary purpose of this site is treating these sides (Music, Acoustics, Sounds)
equally, and shows how they are related to each other. In addition, I think I have to
focus on these three sides to realize Soundscape design, because the design should be
consider all kinds of sounds.
To achieve this purpose, this site has a composition that links the three areas to
each other, which means that these three topics are written as part of the one theme.
For people who are not particular about any specific area, they can choose a topic from
the theme, not from the studies. And also, this site has some systems to obtain further
information about topics from visitors and evaluation for this site. Using this system,
I can bring this site up. I think the goal of this site is make a web site where people
would think as the best place to across the boundary of three "sides", and to make it's
original sound-scape.
MAS
Now I'd like to explain these three points in detail.
The first point is 'Music'. From this point, we can hear the music as music, it includes
beautiful tunes, exciting sound of instrument, good structure, and so on.

The second is acoustics. This point is very difficult but important, especially we use
any equipment. We have to think about sound quality every time, or the value of the
sounds will be decreased severely.

Lastly, Sounds. This word has many meanings, but I would use this term as the most
simple meaning. It's rather close to the study of wave. And it also has very big field
where is not districted from the category of 'music', and 'acoustics'.

1. has some contents devided into THREE categories, Music, Acoustics, Sounds. This
is how I listen to the wave. 2. is the place I want to show you my sense of the sound.
3. has some materials includes minites note, records of server construction, and Reading
assignment we read through the seminar. And also, a dictionary and some links are here.
SEN
SEN is the space many kinds of wave I like are shown. This is not included in one
category of MAS, and sometimes it will be music, sometimes just a sound. Though SEN is a
kind of "extra" space, please listen, I will try to choose interesting waves.(The name SEN
has both meanings, "SENSE" and "選"("choice" in Japanese.)
evaluation and information from others
I need much evaluation and information from people who visit this site. I will make two
types of form, and collect reactions. One is a questionnaire type that I present some sounds
and information about the sounds. And ask people to think about it. Another is a form
for getting many additional knowledge to make contents more rich.
Getting these reactions, I will aim at the site that doesn't finish as self-satisfaction.

The contents of this site is based on my experience and what I'm studying now. Though
I'll be careful not to write wrong knowledge, there might be some strange expressions or

アブストラクト
このサイトの目的は、music, acoustics, soundsに関する作者の知識や価値観をプレゼンテーション
し、このサイトをご覧になる方の音に関する知識、価値観を知り合う場を作る事です。それと同時に
このサイト上でのサウンドスケープデザインを行いたいと考えています。
サウンドスケープデザインとは、その場所に存在する全ての音について考え、音環境をデザインする
事で、BGMを使用するだけでなく、ベルやサウンドエフェクトの使用や、雑音が聞こえないように
する、などの事を行います。これは私達の日常生活の中でよく行われている事であり、私はこのウェブサイトで
音の環境をデザインするという事を考えました。このサイトをデザインするにあたって、基本となる
考え方は、上に述べたように音を三つの角度、Music, Acoustics, Sounds、から見る、という事です。
このサイトのタイトルはこれら3つの単語の頭文字からとっています。この三つの側面に注目した
理由は、1つの「音」という現象はこの3つの側面、"M","A","S"から捉える事ができると考えるところにあります。
ウェブサイトや書籍にもこれら三つの側面を取り上げたものが多くありますが、そのほとんどが1つの側面を専門的に
扱ったものか、1つの側面から考察したものです。このサイトの目指すものはこれらの側面（Music,
Acoustics,Sounds）を平均的に扱い、またそれぞれがどのように関わっているのかを見せる事です。
さらにサウンドスケープデザインが、全ての音について考える、という作業があるためこれを行うには、
これら三つの側面をとりあげなければならないと考えました。
この目的を達成するために、このサイトではそれぞれの分野がお互いにリンクされている構造を
とっています。つまり、3つのトピックが同じテーマとして書かれているという事です。特に
どの分野にも特別な興味がない人のためには、分野ではなくこのテーマの方から選べるように
なっています。またこのサイトには、より多くの情報とこのサイトに対する評価をしてもらう
ための仕組みを用意しています。これらを使うことによって、このサイトを正しく仕上げて行きたいと
思います。このサイトの最終目標は、みなさんがこれら「分野」の境界線を少し越えてみたい時に
「ここが一番便利だ」と思っていただける事と、このサイトオリジナルの音風景を持つことです。

それでは、この3つのポイントについて詳しく説明します。
1つ目のポイントはMusicです。ここでは文字通り音楽を音楽・・・きれいな旋律や、激しい学期の
音、おもしろい構成などを含んだもの・・・として見ていきます。詳しい意味は

2つ目はacousticsです。難しい話題ですが、特に現在のインターネットの上では重要な話です。
音の質というものは常に考えなければならない問題であり、この話題なくしてはいい音、音楽は
得られないと思います。詳しい意味はこちら。
3つ目はsoundsです。この言葉は広い意味を持っていますが、作者は一番シンプルな意味で使って
おり、どちらかというと物理の勉強に近いです。また、音楽や音響の勉強にはおさまりきらない
様々な話題を含みます。詳しい意味はこちら。
構成
このサイトには主に3つのメニューがあります。

1. には作者の音の聴き方に沿ったmusic, acoustics, soundsというの3つに分けられた内容が
あります。 2. は作者が好きな音について語るページです。3. には議事録、サーバー
構築の記録など、その他ゼミに関わる記録があります。また、用語集や参考文献などの
情報もこちらにあります。
SEN
SENでは私の好きな音、音楽が聴けるようになっています。これはMASのどれか1つのカテゴリーに
含まれるものではなく、時には音楽であったり、音であったりします。おまけのようなスペース
ではありますが、おもしろいものを載せていきたいと思いますので聴いてみて下さい。(SENという
タイトルは"SENSE"と"選"という2つの単語からきています。）
評価と情報収集
このサイトを見ている人からの評価や情報もこのサイトにとって大事なソースの1つです。そのために
2種類のフォームを作り、これらの反響を集めたいと思います。1つは音をプレゼンし、それに
対しての考えを述べてもらうアンケートタイプのもので、もう1つはサイトの内容をよりよい物に
するための情報収集です。これらの情報を集める事で、自己満足なサイトで終わらないように
したいと考えています。
